The Thunder Bay Lacrosse League is opening its doors for families to experience the excitement of lacrosse firsthand! New Try Lacrosse dates have been released, offering free sessions designed to introduce young athletes to "the fastest game on two feet."
The Try Lacrosse initiative aims to make the sport of lacrosse more accessible to all families by giving youth the opportunity to explore the game before committing to the season. Each session provides a fun, supportive environment where kids of all skill levels can learn basic techniques, meet the coaches, and experience the high-energy nature of box lacrosse!
"We want every child to have the chance to step on the floor and discover how fun and fast this sport really is! These free sessions not only allows kids to try out the sport, but also gives parents the chance to learn about the upcoming season, special events, and the many opportunities available through our program."
Beyond getting hands-on experience, families will have the opportunity to meet coaches, ask questions, and learn about league offerings, including development programs, community events, tournament opportunities, and pathways for more competitive play.
Lacrosse enhances key athletic abilities such as speed, coordination, reaction time and communication, making it a valuable training tool for multi-sport athletes. Whether you're stepping on the floor for the first time or exploring lacrosse as an off-season option, these sessions offer a supportive introduction suitable for all experience levels!
Spaces are limited, and demand for these sessions is expected to be high. Families are encouraged to reserve their spot early!
